ABOUT THE CLASSES
Samba de Rainha, pronounced as |ˈsæmbə diː haˈiɲa |, is a Brazilian Samba dance class for anyone willing to learn the authentic Brazilian culture from a Brazilian through music and Samba no pé.
"Rainha" means Queen in Portuguese, and Samba de Rainha stands for Samba of a Queen. First, we are in the land of mighty Queens (how we, Brasilians, call the United Kingdom - A Terra da Rainha). Second, Samba de Rainha is an empowerment movement where everyone is encouraged to discover and express their essence through Brazilian Dance. Through Samba de Rainha's classes, one will improve confidence and self-esteem.

Watching my beautiful students' sambando (dancing Samba) in an authentic Brasilian style respecting the culture, history and ancestry of the dance warms my heart.
I teach and drill the correct set of skills, from fast samba no pé and samba walks to poses and floreios using a variety of Brasilian samba songs. The classes are also a great place to make new friends.
Samba de Rainha is also a supportive and friendly community.
By joining my classes, you can join my performance team, Sambistas da Rainha. Every year, there are opportunities for festival shows and Carnivals here in London, including Notting Hill Carnival, and around Europe and Brasil.
