BRAZILIAN SAMBA WEDNESDAY CLASS

High-Energy Brazilian Samba | Open Level

Ready to challenge yourself and take your samba to the next level?

Join Liani Devito every Wednesday at Pineapple Dance Studios for a dynamic, high-energy Brazilian samba class inspired by the technique, musicality and expression of Rio Carnival's passistas (professional samba dancers).

This class is designed for dancers who want to improve their samba technique, develop stamina, explore more challenging movements and enjoy the energy of authentic Brazilian samba.

Each class includes:

• Warm-up: Prepare your body for movement.
• Samba no pé & technique: Approximately 10–15 minutes of samba no pé drills, footwork and transitions.
• Dynamic samba sequence: Explore floreios, turns, rebolados, contratempos, samba walks, breaks and expressive combinations.
• Musicality & performance: Develop rhythm, fluidity, confidence and the expressive style of a Brazilian passista.

Expect continuous movement, energetic sequences and a lively atmosphere that will challenge your coordination, stamina and technique.

Level: Open Level — Fast-Paced

This is an energetic class that moves at a quicker pace and includes challenging footwork and combinations.

Improvers, intermediate and advanced dancers are welcome. However, previous samba experience or a good foundation in dance is strongly recommended.

You don't need to be an advanced dancer, but you should feel comfortable learning movement sequences at a faster pace.

Completely new to Brazilian samba? We recommend starting with Samba Friday — Technique & Foundations, where you'll have more time to learn and develop the essential movements.

• Comfortable clothing suitable for energetic movement
• Water and a towel
• Jazz trainers, dance trainers or suitable dance footwear
• Experienced dancers may bring their passista heels, if comfortable dancing in them. Heels are optional.

Every Wednesday | 6:25–7:25 PM

Location: Pineapple Dance Studios, Covent Garden, London

Price: £11 — book through Pineapple Dance Studios.
