Not at all!
If you're completely new to Brazilian Samba, we recommend starting with Samba Friday at Pineapple Dance Studios or one of our foundation classes at Império da Rainha.

Our Sunday online class is recommended for improvers through advanced dancers.
Yes! Samba de Rainha specialises in authentic Brazilian Samba inspired by the traditions and performance techniques of Rio de Janeiro's Carnival passistas.
Founder Liani trains and parades as a passista with Acadêmicos do Salgueiro in Rio de Janeiro, bringing her experience, technical knowledge and connection to Brazilian Carnival culture into her teaching.
Our Wednesday class is particularly suitable for dancers interested in developing passista-inspired technique, musicality, expression and performance skills.
Wear comfortable workout clothing that allows you to move freely.
We recommend trainers, jazz trainers or suitable flat dance shoes, particularly for beginners.
Intermediate and advanced dancers may wear traditional Brazilian passista platform heels, ballroom or salsa heels, provided they are comfortable and confident dancing in them.
High heels are optional, not compulsory.
Remember to bring water and a towel!
